Dolomite, also known as dolostone and dolomite rock, is a sedimentary rock consisting mainly of the mineral dolomite. Dolomite can be found in sedimentary basins all around the world. The white and grey colour trend of modern homes complements the traditional Dolomite colours. Dolomites are often oversold as a Marble that works similarly to Granite. Unfortunately, that is not entirely true. Dolomites are somewhat tougher than marble but often remain softer than granite. Dolomites make an efficient and elegant countertop material, and also performs great on kitchen and bathroom floors and walls.
